Major Upgrades to Popular Features Provide Innovative and Intuitive Ways to Enjoy More Digital Entertainment
Interact-TV™ (OTC:ITVI ), a leading developer of Linux-based home entertainment servers, today announced release of Telly 4.0, a new version of Interact-TV’s award-winning Telly Home Entertainment Server® and the new TellyVizion™ Playback Unit. Telly 4.0 adds powerful and intuitive ways to share media, browse the Internet and listen to Internet radio while also improving upon the comprehensive Telly feature set. Telly Home Entertainment Servers and TellyVizion Playback Units can be seen at the upcoming January 2006 Consumer Electronics Show, Booth 26818.
Telly Home Entertainment Servers allow consumers to easily store, organize, playback and enjoy digital media in the networked home. Telly servers are compact and quiet, designed for any room in the home and fully scaleable with Terabytes of digital media storage. Telly’s comprehensive entertainment management features include a personal video recorder and a digital video library which serves everything from stored DVDs to recorded video, home videos, and Internet downloaded videos. The included music library and digital photo library can store entire music and photo collections. Telly digital media libraries can be accessed directly from a TV connected to the Telly unit and shared with networked TellyVizion playback units, PCs and Macs throughout the home network.
Telly 4.0 adds new features to enhance and expand the Telly entertainment experience. Now as you list saved DVDs and CDs in Telly’s expansive Multimedia Libraries, Telly displays the cover art which provides a more convienent and easy way to identify content. Launch the Mozilla™ Firefox® web browser from the Telly menu so you can surf the web from the comfort of the couch or in any room that has a TellyVizion Playback unit. The Telly Internet radio feature now supports RealPlayer® from RealNetworks for unparalleled accessabilty to Internet radio stations.
To keep pace with expanding digital media libraries in the home, Telly 4.0 now automatically exports all its media for immediate access on PCs or Macs on the home network. Also, the new configuration and access enabling tools makes sharing media between Telly and TellyVizion units on the home network easier than ever.
