At Interact-TV, we believe that open source development leads
to innovation and rapid advancement in developing and evolving software
products. Open-source, moreover, ensures an open market in integration
and support for these products downstream.
With extensive base level APIs for developers, Telly™ offers stability,
power and interoperability, beneath an easy-to-use interface. Built
upon an open source, Linux-based core
called EOS™, Telly is trying to create a new generation
of developer innovation for the consumer electronic market. We believe
that by growing a community of developers, a more rapid proliferation
of new and exciting products will appear. Anything really is possible,
from home security to home controls, education, commerce, to actual
interactive television.
If you have the skills for C++, Perl, or even Flash, then making
Telly a successful commercial product may be something you
can contribute to. This is indeed a Herculean effort; the veritable
David vs. Goliath story. We are a small group and we'd love to hear
your ideas. So we encourage you to join us in our effort. All we require
to join is that you buy a box! Our hardware ships with Telly and EOS
pre-installed.
